The building complex Volta West marks with a slight bend the end of the Voltastrasse and further the transition to the Bahnhofsplatz. The hunted form is adopted and emphasized by two irregular shaped attic floors. The clinker facades are subdivided by a strong raster of openings while some loggias seem to be scattered randomly and break with that mural appearance. Those are reflective of the plurality of different apartment types, three and four rooms, at the inside. The ground floor at the Voltastrasse - where shops, ateliers and offices are located - opens to the public with generous glazing. The building complex defines a new courtyard which operates as a new public green space.
