The architectural office of Degelo Architects was founded on June 1, 2005 as a corporation. This permitted the continuation of the work that began in 1986 with Gérard Prêtre, and later with partners Meinrad Morger in 1988 and Benjamin Theiler in 2002.
Our buildings and projects are the result of a contextual approach by which the important and also seemingly insignificant, yet always specific, circumstances of the site, the task and the programme are expounded. With the help of this kind of investigation, the rational process of composing the building parts is imparted with a suggestive poetic moment. For this reason, our architecture is less the result of formal objectives, but rather of programme.
