The apartment building Hohlweg together with seven other condominiums will be realised in Riehen. The characteristic of the property - situated on a slope - is the particular topography out of which the building with its circular balustrades seems to grow out. The almost perpendicular earth wall is continued by the new clay wall which contains the garden. The balustrades are bricked with clinker and support the protective effect of the ribbons. Every apartment has its special relation to the surrounding and an own specific character.
The thin layers of the balconies of the south-west façade become generous terraces in the west and the east. At the inside the longitudinal wall and the staircase are only fixed elements so that a lot of space is left free to adapt to the most divers individual configurations with an all around view to the nearby hill range.
